My BeachBody Asylum Review

Beach Body Asylum Challenge

Beach Body Asylum – My Review  I was sooo  looking forward to the New Beach Body Asylum workout. I had done Insanity and gotton great results and was ready for the next Shaun T Challenge Beach Body Asylum. Beach Body Asylum is the next step in my journey of the  Insanity workout program by Shaun T. As a former grad from the Insanity program and now Beach Body Coach, I knew I was in for a huge challenge.Beach Body Asylum says if you stick to the program, by the end you will run faster, jump higher and have an amazing ability to dig deeper than you ever thought you could! This program is a nice cross training program with tools and drills to help with speed, agility, strength, balance and core work! All things I need to add into my marathon training.

So, in March it was the moment of truth..order placed and now waiting for my package to arrive!  The day I received my Beach Body Asylum workout I could hardly contain myself!  I was ready to kick some serious bootay with Beach Body Insanity Asylum! I couldn’t wait any longer, I was giving it a try!
My expectations were high, I first took a quick look through the “Get Shredded 14 day meal planning guide”, and to my amazement, there were meals in there I can actually eat!  I’ll dig deeper into the meal plan later to maximize results, but I’m off to play with my new toy :)

So, my first Beach Body Asylum challenge……drum roooooolllllllll “Fit Test!”. If this is your first time doing a fitness program like Beach Body Asylum don’t skip this step! I have completed many of the Beach Body workout programs; Make sure to read all the material first! And do not skip the Pictures (noone likes this step but you’ll be so glad you have the pics later), measurements and fit test. Gotta have these as back up so you can see your amazing progress with the Beach Body Asylum! Progress and change happens fast with Beach Body Asylum, so get ready for an AMAZING ride!

Beach body Asylum is a full packaged product; in it one can find a jump rope plus an agility ladder. The exercise kicks off with using the jump rope. I quickly realized that this rope is meant for a giant, but quickly adjustable to fit me. So, for anyone who is tall – don’t worry, I know you can use this rope! Same thing with the ladder. It may seem way to long to jump over the entire length, no big deal..fold it over and wahlah…custom fit for you:)

So, not having jumped rope in a very long time combined with a bunch of crazy criss cross moves and squats, let just say that it wasn’t very long before I was completely tangled on my rope. NO FEAR, the Beach Body Asylum video also shows you some modified alternatives that will help anyone start off, even if they’ve never jumped rope in their lives. Besides, if you’re in a small space, doing it the modified way is probably best.

Aglitiy Ladder: Beach Body Asylum used this in a bunch of different moves! The majority of the lower work seemed to truly target your mid-section! You did in and outs jumping between runs on the Agility ladder … Your legs, calf muscles and abdominal muscles will certainly feel it! At the same time, you work on balance, speed and most of all coordination! My recommendation is to slow down whenever doing anything with the Agility ladder, take your time until you get used to it. Keep in mind that the ladder will slide and you can hurt yourself. So take your time, get used to it and master the ladder…You can do it!!

All in all, the workouts are roughly 45 minutes, after about uhmmm let me see, 20 minutes of doing the Beach Body Asylum, I was almost dying! There is absolutely no doubt that this exercise routine will build you stronger legs, and a stronger core. If you play any type of sports that requires a lot of quick stop and go turns, this is the program for you!

Beach Body Asylum was an excellent addition to Insanity. Yes, I know I’ll have to push myself past the negative thoughts, I know I’ll be telling myself “DON’T DO IT!”, but you know what, this was my 1st time doing the Beach Body Asylum program, and like all programs, I know that with time comes results and more coordination to flow through the exercise easier. One big thing that made this workout fun was the use of the ladder and rope, I think it brought an interesting dynamics to the flow of the Beach Body Asylum program.

I’m sure you all know this, but change starts at Home, simply buying this Beach Body Asylum program or any  program will not automatically drop you 30lbs, you actually have to do the work. There is a program out there for everyone, these style of work-outs seem to work for me. Either choice you make, the important thing is to get out and get started, find what works for you.
